Meet Sploosh.
Your home's early warning system.
Know about water leaks and environmental changes the moment they happen — before they become expensive problems. Works with Home Assistant and Apple HomeKit.
Installation GuideUp and running in minutes
Place the sensor, connect power, and Sploosh joins your Home Assistant setup automatically — no cloud account, no subscription.
Place the sensor
Spread the sensor leads near a water heater, boiler, HVAC unit, or washing machine — anywhere water could leak and a power outlet is nearby.
Power up Sploosh
Connect a standard USB-C power supply. Sploosh will broadcast a "sploosh" Wi-Fi hotspot within seconds.
Configure Wi-Fi
Connect to the "sploosh" hotspot from your phone, enter your home Wi-Fi credentials, and you're online.
Get instant alerts
Sploosh joins Home Assistant automatically or pairs with Apple HomeKit — get notified the moment water is detected, no cloud required.
Everything you need. Nothing you don't.
Sploosh is designed to be simple, reliable, and always on — the way a device protecting your home should be.
Reliable leak detection
A 4-lead scanning matrix detects water across any combination of its contacts — no single point of failure. Any two leads bridged by water triggers an alert.
Temperature & humidity
The built-in BME280 sensor reports temperature and humidity every 30 seconds, so you can monitor for condensation, mold risk, or HVAC problems.
Home Assistant & HomeKit
Choose the variant that fits your setup. The Home Assistant version uses ESPHome for auto-discovery. The HomeKit version pairs directly with the Apple Home app — no hub required.
Wi-Fi direct — no hub, no Zigbee
Sploosh connects directly to your Wi-Fi — no Zigbee coordinator or smart hub required. Both variants operate entirely on your home network with no cloud account or subscription.
Visual status LEDs
Two onboard LEDs light up the moment water is detected — a fast visual indicator even before your phone buzzes.
Over-the-air updates
Firmware updates are delivered wirelessly through Home Assistant — no need to disconnect or re-flash the device.
Three things Sploosh watches for you
Water leak
Four wire leads form a scanning matrix — each lead scans every other in pairs, covering all six possible combinations. Any amount of water bridging two leads triggers detection. The 3-sample debounce filter prevents false positives from accidental contact with grounded metal.
Temperature
The BME280 sensor measures temperature every 30 seconds with high accuracy. You can configure a temperature offset in Home Assistant to account for local heat sources. Useful for monitoring unheated spaces, crawlspaces, and equipment rooms.
Humidity
Relative humidity is reported alongside temperature, giving you early warning of condensation buildup or rising moisture levels that can lead to mold. A configurable humidity offset lets you calibrate to your specific environment.
